Dingle Founding Fathers Purpose Built Distillery

The last three years has seen something of an explosion in Ireland in the number of brewing companies producing Craft Beers; however, there is one company that had the foresight to see this revolution coming well in advance-The Porterhouse Brewing Company. This week they announce their lasted venture;The Dingle Whiskey Distillery. O Donoghues Bar & Grill, Marco Island

O DONOGHUES IS SET TO CO-SPONSOR AN INTERNATIONAL AMATEUR BOXING EVENT BETWEEN IRELAND AND THE UNITED STATES NEXT MONTH ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 12TH AT 6PM. O Donoghues Bar & Grill, established June 2010 by proprietors Peter and Helen Donaghy, will host the weigh-in for the event. Irish Pubs Global spoke to Peter about O Donoghuesand the up and coming event. The Bar & Grill itself, run by Peter, Helen and their son Gavin, holds seating for 160 people. Recently the establishment saw a remodeling of the bar and dining area during the off-season. Frank Williams And The Dublin Ale House A Dream Come True

LAST WEEK SAW THE “SOFT OPENING” OF THE DUBLIN ALE HOUSE PUB IN CAPE CORAL, FLORIDA, IN THE U.S. IRISH PUBS GLOBAL, BRIEFLY SPOKE TO CO-OWNER FRANK WILLIAMS ABOUT THE NEW OPENING. “This is (our) first venture into the pub industry. Now we’re making a life long dream come true,” says Frank. Frank began to explain how he, along with his wife Jeannine, always wanted to open a pub, but never got round to it due to obligations with a separate business in New Jersey. Jeannine also helped in the initial design of the pub and chipped in with most of painting of the establishment. “My wife and I have put a lot of blood sweat and tears into this place; probably two thousand hours each” says Frank. Doolins of North Carolina

There are few people out there in the world you could call a genuine innovator, but Frank Haughton, of the James Joyce Pub, is the real deal. First and foremost, he brought the first Irish Pub to Prague and secondly he forged stronger business links between the Irish and Czechs where there was virtually none there before. Initially Frank, formally in banking, intended to open a pub in Germany, but was persuaded by a friend to help with a radio station in Prague.
