Megan Costello and husband Sean Costello are investing $230,000 to convert Holmes & Watson in Troy into the new Finnbar’s Irish Pub.

The longtime manager of a popular Albany bar and his wife are paying $193,000 for the Holmes & Watson building in downtown Troy.

They plan to reopen it as Finnbar’s Irish Pub.

Sean Costello, a manager at Cafe Hollywood for 17 years, and Megan Costello, a hair stylist at VSalon in Guilderland, expect to close on the property in early April. The couple lives in Albany.

They are self-funding the purchase along with Costello’s parents, Joe Costello and Jean Costello, of North Greenbush.

They will invest another $40,000 to paint and renovate the pub at 450 Broadway.
