We will board the Corrib Princess for a Cruise of the Corrib River and Lake, following the trail of fearsome Viking invaders and Victorian steamboats alike along the majestic River Corrib in Galway. The Corrib is the largest Lake in the south of Ireland; this stunning body of water is in a special area of conservation and is a UNESCO-designated wetland.

During our cruise we will enjoy an Irish Coffee demonstration on board, as the Corrib Princess is the proud holder of a World Irish Coffee Making Championship title. Following the demonstration, join in some Irish dancing and learn to dance the Siege of Ennis with world class dancers!

After our cruise on the Corrib, we will be met by Sheena of Galway Food Tours who will lead us around Galway’s finest foodie destinations.

Our first stop is O’Connells Pub, where we will enjoy an Irish Gin tasting and oyster, opened and served by expert Michael Brown.

Next stop is McCambridge’s for a tasting of air-dried meats and local cheeses paired with whiskey, brandy and Poitin.

At the famous Griffin’s of Shop Street bakery, founded in 1876, we will meet baker and owner Jimmy Griffin who will talk us through the history of the shop and share stories of Galway City, as we enjoy fresh local pastries.

Our food tour will finish up in Tigh Neachtain’s Pub, with a tasting of local beers paired with a two course lunch from Kasbah.
