As part of the 2018 Irish Pubs Global Gathering (Galway 7th-9th October), attendees will have the opportunity to visit the award-winning Galway Hooker Brewery in Oranmore, Co. Galway.

Galway Hooker gets its name from the iconic sailing boats used to navigate the North Atlantic Ocean. Designed originally as fishing craft, these boats were used chiefly for carrying goods such as livestock, turf and more importantly beer across the Galway Bay from Connemara to the Aran Islands and the Burren.

Nestled in the stunning surrounds of the Wild Atlantic Way, Galway Hooker is an independent, artisan brewery dedicated to the production of high quality, natural and full flavoured beers. All of their beers are craft brewed by combining the finest ingredients with traditional brewing techniques. The result is a fantastic range of beers that have received numerous awards, including Gold Medals at the Irish Food Awards in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Attendees will join Head brewer, Aidan Murphy, on an exclusive tour of the brewery and experience the brewing process first-hand, followed by a tasting of Galway Hooker beer.
