Jameson Distillery Bow St. has been named World’s Leading Distillery Tour

Irish Distillers has announced that Jameson Distillery Bow St. has been named the World’s Leading Distillery Tour at the World Travel Awards Gala Ceremony in Lisbon on December 1st. The finalists included Macallan, Hennessy, Jack Daniels and Jose Cuervo. This win follows the announcement of Jameson Distillery Bow Street as 'Europe's Leading Distillery Tour 2018' at the European Travel Awards in July.  Commenting on the win, Greg Hughes, Managing Director Jameson Brand Homes and Education at Irish Distillers said “We are extremely humbled and honoured to be awarded this very special accolade. End of an era for Lillie’s Bordello

The end of an era is approaching as Dublin’s most glamorous nightclub, Lillie’s Bordello, is set to close in January. Since opening its doors in the early 90s, Lillie’s established itself as the late-night playground of celebrities from here and across the pond. Over the years, the dance floor has been graced by stars such as Rihanna, Julia Roberts, David Hasselhoff, Mick Jagger and Enrique Iglesias, along with home-grown celebrities like Niall Horan, The Cranberries, Laura Whitmore and Cillian Murphy, with Bono even celebrating his 46th birthday at Lillie’s. 30 Publicans Gather for US Irish Hospitality Workshop

The picturesque colonial town of Alexandria VA was the setting for an historical first meeting and workshop for Irish Pub Operators from across North America. The new Devlin Hotel opens in Ranelagh

The new boutique hotel situated in Ranelagh, Dublin 6, is home to a rooftop restaurant and terrace, forty bedrooms, a boutique cinema, a great coffee spot and an incredible new cocktail bar.  Layla’s Rooftop Restaurant, Bar and Terrace is an atmospheric space with exposed timber joisted ceilings, oak floorboards and 1950s inspired tan leather booths. Irish Distillers Reintroduces Red Spot Whiskey

Irish Distillers has unveiled its new Red Spot Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey. Last seen in the mid-1960s, the new member of the Spot Whiskeys range offers whiskey drinkers further choice in the innovative super-premium Irish whiskey category. Crafted from an old recipe handed down by the Mitchell & Son family of wine merchants, the creators of the original Spot Whiskeys range in the early 1900s, this reimagined Red Spot is a triple-distilled, single pot still Irish whiskey that has been matured for a minimum of 15 years in a combination of casks pre-seasoned with Bourbon, Oloroso Sherry and Marsala fortified wine. New Pearse Lyons Brewery to open in Dundalk

Alltech Beverage Division Ireland (ABDI) has announced plans to open a new brewery at the historic site of the old MacArdle Moore Brewery in Dundalk. The new Pearse Lyons Brewery will incorporate the relocation of the Station Works Brewery in Newry, which was acquired by the late Dr. Pearse Lyons in 2015 and produces the Foxes Rock™ range of ales, stouts and lagers. The history of brewing in Dundalk dates back to 1683, when records indicate that more than 30 ale and beer breweries existed in the town.
