O’Hara’s Brewery has launched ‘Eureka’, a new single hop IPA, the fifth beer in their ‘Hop Adventure Series’.
The ‘Hop Adventure Series’ was developed to showcase the most interesting hops from around the world, featuring the Yakima Valley, USA as the most recent stop.
The O’Hara’s brewers have taken advantage of Urban Brewing, the new microbrewery, bar and restaurant located in The CHQ Building, Dublin 1, to experiment with a dry hopped IPA using Eureka. Following a great initial reception it has been refined and now graduates to the O’Hara’s Hop Adventure Series.
The Eureka hop was chosen for its strong bittering qualities, combined with a complex full-bodied flavour and aroma profile. It is a resinous hop, with tropical and citrus fruit notes, and rounded off nicely with sweet pineapple and juicy bitter grapefruit. The new beer is light golden in colour, with a light haze and white head.
For pairing with food, this IPA will work well with strong bold flavours such as spicy Indian or Mexican dishes.
O’Hara’s Hop Adventure Series ‘Eureka’ will be available in select bars, independent off-licences and retailers. For more information, see www.carlowbrewing.com.
