The Jar is a fresh, new owner-operated bar at the well-known address of 31 Wexford Street. Having opened just before Christmas, the venue has undergone a massive transformation. It reflects the charms of an old Irish pub yet welcomes the energetic atmosphere of its location. From cozy midweek pizza and pints to cocktail filled Fridays and Saturdays with their renowned DJ – The Jar is a great spot to visit any day of the week.
The Jar is owner operated by The Loyola Group, the faces behind The Bath Pub, The Leopardstown Inn and The Old Spot, which was included in the 2015 Michelin Pub Guide. Within the venue the team is made up of friendly faces who all share a love for original drinks, delicious food and superb hospitality.
The drinks selection is one to rival many! The menu boasts signature cocktails, a wide variety of craft beers from around the country and a great selection of premium spirits. The team are always keen to help and they will happily suggest a new tipple to try if you’re tiring of your usual order.
The bar has partnered up with Base Wood Fired Pizza – voted Dublin’s Best Pizza for the past two years. The Base WFP team take the utmost pride and consideration in all lines of their work from their freshly prepared toppings to specially designed ovens. The onsite wood fired oven is ready to go from 4pm everyday; In this 800°c oven your pizza can be cooked to perfection in less than 60 seconds meaning it will be on your plate within minutes of being cooked!
The Jar have the facilities to cater for all types of bookings and events. The three floor venue has the ability to section off areas, reserve spaces privately and accommodate smaller more intimate bookings seven days a week. The bar is also equipped with two covered outdoor terraces and HD flat screens throughout.
